Category Manager (Online Auto)
SUMMARY
Trains with Product Manager to develop and design national marketing strategies for AutoZone. Researches and evaluates new product opportunities within assigned categories. Learns to negotiate with vendors on national promotions of products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participating in all team activities and decisions.
- Trains with Product Manager on selecting quality vendors, negotiating programs, and analyzing market research.
- Using that research to put the right products in the right stores at the right prices.
- Trains with Product Manager on adding and deleting products in response to industry changes and customer demands, testing new products, troubleshooting supply chain issues.
- Uses information from sales, gross profit, and various ad hoc reports to make sure their assigned categories meet established performance targets.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
- Two to three years experience in Digital Merchandising.
