Pediatric Perfusionist, Wolfson Children's Hospital

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Clinical Perfusionist to our Pediatric Operating Room at Wolfson Children's Hospital located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time, Day Shift opportunity.

As the Clinical Perfusionist, you will be responsible for:

• Operating extracorporeal circulation equipment, such as cardiopulmonary bypass during open-heart surgery or any other medical procedure requiring artificial support or temporary replacement of a patient's circulatory or respiratory function.
• Functioning in supportive roles for other medical specialties, including the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) program to assist in long-term support of patients outside of the operating room environment.
• Providing support during eCPR and the regular maintenance of all ECMO circuits, including initiation, termination, and support/troubleshooting.
• Priming all Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs), including placement and maintenance, and communicating with patients, family members, and the healthcare team.
• Solving problems, documenting clearly, and communicating effectively in writing.
• Performing and evaluating laboratory tests, adhering to established lab standards.
• Providing services following all institutional, perfusion, ECMO, and VAD protocols.
