Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Permanent VP of Accounting. This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to a growing organization within the Oil&Gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for tax compliance strategy, capital assets, internal compliance, overseeing the general ledger, internal controls, transaction accounting, and supervisory responsibilities. Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:
As the Permanent VP of Accounting, you will be expected to:

1. Develop and implement effective tax compliance strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
2. Manage and oversee the organization's capital assets to optimize financial performance.
3. Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Oversee the General Ledger and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices.
5. Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and protection of company assets.
6. Oversee transaction accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and other supervisory responsibilities.
8. Collaborate with other executives and departments to align financial management with overall company strategic plans and objectives.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends and regulations to ensure the company's financial operations are in line with the best practices and compliant with the law.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent VP of Accounting position should possess the following:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the Finance industry.
2. Proven experience in tax compliance strategy, capital assets, internal compliance, overseeing the General Ledger, internal controls, and transaction accounting.
3. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with a commitment to developing and leading a high-performing accounting team.
4. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is highly preferred.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or similar qualification is highly desirable.
