This position is a Full-time Night position on our Enterprise Support Team (WEST) and this opportunity offers PREMIUM PAY and a comprehensive benefits package. The selected Registered Nurse will be given the opportunity for flexible self-scheduling while working in an assigned region.  In this region, this position would float to Spalding, Sylvan Grove and Atlanta Medical Center South.

You will be joining a highly experienced and engaged team.  This team has garnered the following awards and recognitions: AJC Nurse of the Year finalist, Numerous Daisy Award winners, Shining Star Awards, Care Giver of the Year Award thus far. This highly engaged team developed and implemented the first float pool Shared Leadership Model.  This team serves as the voice of the system and has a unique opportunity to help reduce variation and optimize processes throughout the system.

Responsibilities

Our RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supported through the WellStar Shared Leadership Model. The framework for practice is steered by the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidence based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the WellStar Core Competencies. 

Job Requirements

Required Minimum Education, Licensure/Certification and Experience for this position:

  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing is preferred; National certification in area of specialty is also preferred.
  • Current and active license as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia.
  • Must have current ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment.
  • This position requires 3 years of current Critical Care nursing experience in an Acute Care facility.
