Experis, a ManpowerGroup company,
has an exciting contract opportunity for Test Technician.

This position is 12 months, W2 for one of our key clients, an American Irish-domiciled company that manufactures automotive seating for customers worldwide.

Role: Test Technician
Location: Plymouth MI
Duration: 12 months (W2 contract)


  • Operates production equipment, responsible for manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products.
  • Follows blueprints, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor.
  • Direct and coordinate customer requests for service of equipment.
  • Confer with supervisors and engineering personnel to resolve design and/or operational problems.
  • Assess and resolve customer complaints.
  • Assist with the commissioning activities and on-floor testing of equipment where needed.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of service-related documents
  • Create new documents as needed or requested.
  • Keep management informed of current issues relating to customer satisfaction.
  • Promote the service department to all customers while representing company in a professional, productive, and helpful manner.
  • Analyze equipment problems and prepare technical reports for use by engineering and management.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned. Complete any Quality System records/activities as required.

  • A Bachelor or Associates degree in an applicable discipline preferred and/or equivalent experience. Experience Relevant experience: 2 + years
  • Education: High school or equivalent Required Skills Mechanical & Computer Aptitude
  • Required Education High School Graduate Required Years of Experience Non-Desired Skills Test lab experience (equipment, methods, and instruments).
  • Data Acquisition Systems experience (IMC Data Works or LabView preferred). Programmable controller experience.
  • Desired Education Associates degree / technical degree / vocational training Desired Years of Experience 1+ years Additional Information This need is due to Test Lab expansion.
  • Candidate with minimal test related experience will be considered. Even candidate with no test experience will be considered if they can demonstrate mechanical and computer aptitude.
  • Select Shift: Shift 1 M-F (07 - 03:30) - 45hours/week
