As an ICU RN for night shifts, you will assume accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing "Patient-Centered Care" to an assigned group of patients. You will plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care while providing a holistic view that includes dimensions of physical, developmental, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and functional status. Your initial assessments will provide a baseline for future comparisons to individualize care, with ongoing assessment and reassessment required to meet the patient's changing needs.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide comprehensive patient care following established nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to develop and evaluate nursing care plans.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintain adequate supplies.

  • Operate medical equipment proficiently and safely.

  • Act as an educator to peers, patients, and their families, supporting service excellence and a healing environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements



  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.

  • Clear and active RN licensure in the State of Florida.

  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.

  • NIHSS certification.

  • CCRN preferred.

  • At least 2 years of ICU experience in an acute care hospital setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and critical thinking abilities.
