Position Summary:
The Associate Attorney will assist senior attorneys in providing legal counsel to existing clients. The Associate Attorney is responsible for conducting legal research; drafting documents and pleadings; communicating with clients and experts; drafting and responding to discovery; document review; and assisting with trial and deposition preparation. Associates will represent clients in court and depositions.

- Status: Full-Time / Exempt
- Work Location: This position will report to work at our office in Jacksonville.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for negotiations and proceedings.
- Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel under the supervision of senior attorneys.
- Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
- Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
- Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available to other attorneys, paralegals and support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- At least 1-3 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Florida Bar Admission or planning to sit for the Bar.
- Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess great time management and problem-solving skills.
- Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
- Must meet expectations for billing goals.
