Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Solar Project Manager in Las Vegas, Nevada

Solar Project Manager- Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the Project Manager (Solar Utility Scale)- is between $110,000 and $140,000 depending on experience and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Solar Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities

  • 5 plus years’ experience in utility scale distributed generation solar projects
  • Subcontractor experience is a MUST-prefer no developers or EPC
  • Strong estimating knowledge highly recommended
  • Heavy traveling position-will be onsite for projects or remote working in Pre-con/Estimating between projects (Valid drivers License required) 
  • Implement the process of measuring vendors and contractor’s performance and for monitoring risk exposure
  • Provide progress reports and other status updates to client and management as required
  • Develop solar projects, simultaneously working with land development, permitting, business development, finance, legal, environmental, and engineering
  • Create full project development schedules and high-level construction and interconnection schedules, to establish reasonable and achievable construction start and commercial operation dates
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces at projects
  • May be exposed to loud noises or various weather conditions

Solar Project Manager Qualifications

  • Strong employment stability-3-4 companies within the last 10 years
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience project managing solar scale utility, 5 years’ experience in Project Management
  • Proven track record of partnerships with private utility contractors/companies

Preferred but Not Necessary

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
