Job Description

The JM Family College Internship program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. This will include projects and tasks that relate to Talent Acquisition as well as enterprise projects and will provide opportunities for personal and professional development while working in a collaborative team environment.
 
Responsibilities may include:
 
  • Interacting and following up with applicants who are applying for positions at JM Family and related companies
  • Assisting with recruitment and selection processes (interview scheduling, resume screening, screening calls, interviews, etc.)
  • Meeting and supporting business managers to discuss hiring needs
  • Managing the pre-employment process for new hires which includes submitting and monitoring background checks and drug screening
  • Administer all hiring paperwork for new associates
  • Suggest new ideas for improving talent acquisition activities
  • Assist with other tasks & projects as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelor or graduate degree seeking program at an accredited college or university with a focus in Human Resources (qualified candidates pursuing a degree in a related field will also be considered)
  • Relevant completed coursework including Human Resources Operations, Employer branding/marketing, I/O Psychology, Labor Data & Analytics, HR Law, Business Law, Employee/Labor Relations or similar
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communications a must
  • Team player
  • Quick learner
  • Desire or interest to conduct Associate or Candidate interviews, participate in research and conduct presentations or learning sessions
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week on site at our Deerfield Beach location
