Staff / Tax Accountant
Our client is a leading global business law firm looking for a collaborative, results-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has exceptional problem-solving skills. Naviga has been engaged to recruit a Staff Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities:
- Prepares journal entries on a daily basis
- Reconciles general ledger account balances on a monthly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Reviews and analyzes financial statements on a monthly basis. Provides commentary to senior leaders of the Accounting team
- Assists with the year-end financial statement audit and other audits, as required
- Assists with accounting operations for international entities in Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and Brazil
- Assist with daily treasury activities
- Works collaboratively with a talented group of Accounting professionals, including senior leaders of the Accounting department with exposure to professionals outside of the Accounting department, including Real Estate Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology and various others
Requirements:
- 2 years’ prior accounting experience
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Public accounting and/or law firm experience preferred.
- Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties
- Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner
- Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required
- Foster positive work relationships
- Comply with all firm policies and practices
- Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed
- Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned

Education:
- 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred
