ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Unjam parts and recycles assembly machines and auto packers (robots).
- Read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Open containers.
- Load and unload materials by hand onto or from pallets, boxes, bins and shelves.
- Fill hoppers, bins, feeders and elevators as necessary.
- Maintain acceptable visual quality level of all parts produced.
- Sort, audit, and check parts for grease, damage, missing components, proper tube length, etc.
- Pack product as needed.
- Weigh-count boxed production and check orders for completion.
- Close, tape, and label boxes of finished product.
- Make bags and break down boxes.
- Maintain housekeeping, orderliness, and cleanliness of assigned area.
- Train temporary or new employees.
- Responsible for performing work at or above standard rate.
- Responsible for throwing scrap and trash in proper containers.
- Must follow all work rules and policies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
GED or equivalent
One to three months related experience and/or training
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
