Primary Responsibilities
In the roll of ITS Technical Specialist you will assists senior-level staff in planning, designing, and implementing technology solutions for transportation issues. This role is part of the Advanced Technology for Surface Transportation business class' broader initiative, which primarily focuses on serving government agencies. This position will also be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and proactively researching transportation technology solutions.
Technical Related Responsibilities
* Provide support on ITS and traffic management system projects, including Planning, Engineering, Design, Integration, Deployment, Operations and Maintenance, Communications, and overall Management.
* Provide support services for a DOT embedded engineer position acting on behalf of the DOT doing project management, design reviews, and project inspections.
* Assist with the development of practice areas related to ITS program management and oversight, Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O), Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), Transportation Management Centers (TMC), Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS), Managed Lanes, Automated Connected Electric and Shared (ACES) vehicle technologies, and associated performance measures.
