Description

Responsibilities

As Associate Vice President of Interoperability, you will have end-to-end ownership of strategy, delivery, and support for Humana's Enterprise Interoperability Strategy. Your responsibilities will include leading enterprise-grade integration and interoperability to build and implement best-in-class healthcare solutions. In you will be responsible for planning and executing application buildouts, cost management, financial forecasting.

The individual must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy that includes a big picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. Deep engineering, technical and communication skills are key to success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Partner with business stakeholders and product owner teams to enable seamless provider and member experiences for those we serve
* Deliver software solutions optimized for both group and IPA clinician interactions, seamless consumer experience, and business agility
* Participate in Interoperability Working Groups of HL7, Argonaut, Carin Alliance, DaVinci and others
* Lead and coach on Agile product delivery across the organization
* Manage relationships with 100+ outside partners (ie. Epic, Athena, HIEs, etc.)
* Work with product management organization to ensure clear roadmaps and healthy groomed backlogs are in place
* Establish clear goals and objectives and develop shared OKRs that will clearly indicate progress towards those goals and business outcomes
* Actively review customer feedback while continuously incorporating findings into the product to measurably improve Net Promoter Score (NPS)
* Drive meaningful integration and interoperability to create a unified and integrated experience to improve patient and provider experience
* Reimage experiences through technology by leveraging best in class and innovative technology trends
* Quantify the business value from different solution options
* Measure pilot performance against expectations, adjusting where necessary to optimize business impact
* Partner with leaders to map business strategy to a technology roadmap
* Ensure appropriate operational and performance monitoring, including end user experience metrics
* Optimize operating model, throughput, and value we receive for our investments
* Identify and resolve barriers to effective plan/build/run of digital capabilities
* Hire, lead and develop a high performing team

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or qualified experience
* Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities and an enterprise-wide perspective
* 8+ years of management experience
* 5+ years demonstrated experience in driving business outcomes and results
* Outstanding collaboration, solid influencing, problem solving, and negotiation skills
* Experience in modern software engineering technologies and practices, including but not limited to FHIR, etc.
* Experience leading through influence in a large, matrixed, global environment
* Broad business technology experience, including complex systems integration and infrastructure expertise
* Managing C-level conversations
* Demonstrated success deploying and executing Agile product management at scale
* Track record of success in designing scalable technology solutions that support high touch consumer experiences
* Demonstrated success in leveraging technology to meet business objectives
* Proven history of effective working relationships with leaders and key business partners to drive change agendas
* Ability to travel up to 50% during peak season.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's Degree
* Managed Care and Clinical Systems experience
* Health Information Exchange experience
* History of executing with excellence: setting purposeful goals and achieving them through intelligent actions, which balance competing priorities without losing momentum behind the execution
* Proven ability to sell ideas to others outside of your direct team members
* Innovative orientation and customer first mindset
