The Job

As a Lead Battery Engineer, you'll be part of our Engineering team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to:

* Study fast charging techniques and controls technologies such as those used in other industries and apply to new products
* Explore safety, reliability, and practicality of fast charging options for cells and packs
* Use foundational knowledge of electronics and to develop charger circuitry
* Study battery health effects through experimental and simulated approaches
* Apply measurements of battery health to life management strategies
* Program microcontrollers to apply novel charging strategies
* Analyze large data sets to make determinations and advise product strategy
* Prototype circuitry and establish demonstration units for management

The Person

You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. You're not intimidated by innovation. Wouldn't it be great if you could do your job and do a world of good? In fact, you embrace it. You also have:

* MS/ME or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
* 3-5 years' battery charger engineering experience with hardware and software familiarity
* Interpretation of complex data sets using mathematical and statistical models
* Complex math including conversions from frequency to time domains
* Firmware development including software interface and programming
* Application of battery models to performance and optimization
