Our client, a well-known publicly traded Financial Services Institution, is looking for a Senior Director of Corporate Accounting to oversee its North American entity. The Senior Director is part of the US Banking Controllership team. This position will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Bank s accounting and reporting processes. The Controllership team ensures the integrity of the Company's financial results in accordance with U. S. GAAP, provides an effective control environment over financial reporting, works to eliminate controllable financial risk, and supports growth in the business while balancing control and compliance. Overseeing a team of 5 direct reports you will: • The Senior Director will assume the primary ownership and responsibility of the accounting functions for 2 US entities as well as overseeing all accounting for all global shared services • Manage the implementation of new GAAP accounting standards for the Institution (e. g., Revenue Recognition.) • Evaluate control processes to identify and implement process improvements and ensure compliance with SOX 404 and other internal control requirements. • Provide accounting support on special projects related to key business and financial initiatives This is a very high profile position within a team that has direct interaction with the executive suite. Job Requirements

-Bachelors in Accounting -CPA -12+ years of accounting experience -4+ years of management experience
