The QTI Group is partnering with a scientific company to hire a Project Management Specialist to join their R&D team to support product development projects in a manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years’ project management experience to ensure project milestones are met. The Project Specialist will participate in meetings and project teams on all project related activities. While this position will focus primarily on product development projects as product goes to manufacturing, the Project Specialist may also get involved in other corporate projects as time allows.
Establish and administer project timelines from initiation to completion and provide follow-up on status for multiple projects across multiple functions of the organization
Coordinate with appropriate staff or teams in achieving all key project deliverables and milestones
Track project resources and timelines to ensure commitments are met and document and follow up on action items
Coordinate project schedules, resources and equipment
Ensure projects achieves all targeted objectives including budget, schedule and resources
Anticipate, execute and manage changes required in a product development environment
Support the document control processes and provide traceability and accountability through control and release of documents as required by Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
Review and monitor project control documents for completeness and accuracy
Participate in project team meetings to evaluate the area of risk management, including the assessment, communication, and mitigation of risks associated with the fulfillment of project commitments and expectations
Serve as a liaison with clients during all project stages
Establish and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with all functional groups
Organize regular project review meetings to ensure projects are on track and to address any related project management issues
Provide periodic reports on status, schedule progress and performance of the project to appropriate management.
Ensure project completion and closeouts are captured and documented in an appropriate electronic document system so that they are easily transferable for presentation
Be accountable for the preparation and maintenance of project lists and management dashboards
Bachelors in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or related field required
Minimum of two years’ project management experience in a cGMP environment required; 5+ years’ experience preferred
Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
Experience working at the bench in a lab environment preferred
