Indiana University Bloomington Full-Time
Apply on company site

The IUF’s Telefund team invites applications for the Advancement Ambassador position. Join our team to leave a lasting legacy for IU!

The Telefund has raised well over $30 million to support student scholarships, classroom equipment, new technologies, career development, and more. Over 80% of IU’s donors made their first gift to IU through the Telefund, and over 5% of the philanthropic gifts to Indiana University each year are secured through conversations at the Telefund.

Advancement Ambassadors are the heart of the Telefund, increasing private support for the university. Through multi-channel outreach, ambassadors forge relationships with IU alumni and build skills in communication, confidence, patience, persistence and the art of diplomacy. In this role, you will contact alumni, family, and friends of IU to highlight new campus initiatives, update contact information, and raise funds for scholarships and academic programs across IU. It is through these meaningful conversations with donors that you will help foster lifelong relationships with Indiana University. You will also have access to professional development and networking opportunities through the IU Foundation.

Advancement Ambassadors must demonstrate excellent communication skills, with genuine enthusiasm for speaking about IU. You should be able to listen and personalize a case for the support of IU throughout your conversations. Ambassadors have a problem-solving mentality, and think on their feet in a fast-paced environment. The Telefund offers a professional and enthusiastic work environment, supporting preparation for many career tracks. Apply now and our Telefund team will respond to you within one week.

The IU Foundation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Ambassadors must be able to work three of the following weekly shifts on-campus at the (new!) Telefund facility: Monday 5:30-10:00 pm, Tuesday 5:30-10:00 pm, Wednesday 5:30-10:00 pm, Thursday 5:30-10:00 pm, or Friday 4:00-8:15 pm.
