Accounting Clerk
Job Description:
The ideal candidate has previous work experience in an Accounting department performing tasks as part of a team. You will provide support to Accounts Payable Team Members with processing an average of 300 invoices and in getting 85-100 payments cleared from the queue each day from a GLOBAL multi-organization company.

Prior working experience in Accounting, Finance, or Payables

Ability to self-manage and complete Daily Task List with minimal supervision

Ability to work quickly and efficiently

Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously

Ability to multitask and meet daily deadlines

Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with all levels of management and professionals with diverse backgrounds

Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Proficiency with databases (Oracle, Access, SAP, etc.)
Main Responsibilities:
-
Work in Oracle and Excel to enter invoices to be paid for various business orgs.
-
Reviews all Non-PO invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
-
Processes 3-way PO matching invoices for timely payments. Routes invoice for approval and processing if required.

Review and analyze invoices for purchases and transportation, to ensure proper matching to a purchase order and use correct GL account.

Provide accurate data entry to all vendor disbursement activities for multiple entities.

Solve problems and resolve outstanding issues as they arise.

Keep good communication with all department within the company and external vendors.

Perform all work with accuracy and under the specific instructions given by supervisor.

Verify vendor accounts and reconcile statements.

Support the Accounts Payable Team in getting payments (85-100) cleared out of the queue every day.

Perform data entry, administrative duties and other tasks assigned by manager.
Top Skills Required:
-
Prior experience in a corporate Accounts Payable department, OR customer service OR clerking experience

- MS office suite proficiency required

Tier 1 or 2 ERP system experience is strongly preferred
-
Ability to plan, organizes, prioritize, and achieve results using effective time management skills

Ability to input high volume of data with equal high degree of accuracy
Technology:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – must have knowledge and experience in Excel
