Information, Referral & Assistance Specialist - Abilene, TX
A local non-profit is looking for an Information, Referral & Assistance Specialist for their Abilene location. This person will be a results driven, compassionate individual with a clear understanding of the Abilene community and its resources. The IR&A Specialists insures that all clients are treated with respect and dignity and provides information and referral for callers and walk-in clients.
This professional handles all Area Agency on Aging, Aging & Disability Resources, Ombudsman and Support Services for Veteran calls; posts call information directly into the IR&A software and assists with finding proper community resources (in all 19 counties of the Big Country) for the caller.
The average call level is 75 plus calls per day for the IR&A Specialist. The specialist will also share in office operations (i.e.: gathering and updating resource information and front desk duties).
