The Fort Wayne office is seeking qualified people to work as an Official Mail and Postal Service Center Supervisor. Successful applicants will be able to perform the following duties:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the Official Mail and PSC
  • Direct the work of the Associates and coordinate with the WAFB officials.
  • Participate in the daily processing of mail and packages from the USPS, FEDEX
    and UPS.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish work schedules and approve time sheets for OM-PSC Associates.
  • Satisfy all requirements of the WAFB OM-PSC Contract (i.e., keep plans and
    procedures updated, prepare and submit appropriate reports in a timely manner).
  • Train and counsel OM-PSC Associates as required.
  • Prepare Individual Employee Eligibility forms on OM-PSC Associates annually, or
    within 30 days for new employees.
  • Prepare and administer annual company evaluations to OM-PSC Associates.
  • Advertise for, interview, submit paperwork to company HR for review and verification
    and select potential new employees when required.
  • Provide daily mail delivery to the base.
  • Sort incoming mail to the base.
  • Maintain tracking logs to assist in monitoring the base’s accountable mail.
  • Follow all rules and regulations in accordance with Whiteman AFB.
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or
    department head.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.
  • Report to work as scheduled.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Possess a high degree of honesty and be trustworthy.
  • Possess computer skills to access internet, produce spreadsheets and documents, and
    email internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to work well with others and direct and inspire the team efforts.
  • Ability to serve customers with a professional and polite attitude.
  • Must present themselves daily in a profession manner and with a professional
    appearance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED, college degree preferred.
  • Never have been convicted of crimes involving theft.
  • Not have been previously removed for cause from work in a postal, mail, or other
    communications activity.
  • Not have physical restrictions prohibiting duty that involves prolonged standing, walking,
    or lifting weights up to and including the maximum weight for mail piece (70 lbs).
  • Must obtain or have a valid Secret security clearance on file.
