The Town of Ashland is accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Clerk/Assistant Librarian. The Deputy Clerk position is responsible for a specific area such as the collection of real and personal property taxes, excise taxes, or serving as a motor vehicle registration agent. Work involves handling funds and preparing standard forms and receipts. The Assistant Librarian will assist the Librarian in updating a computer database for library materials, organizing library materials for easy access, assisting library patrons in searching reference materials, and researching new books for patrons. This position requires the ability to work independently while following established procedures and routines and entails extensive public contact.
This is a full-time hourly position that offers a competitive wage with a full benefits package. This position will remain open until a suitable candidate can be hired. The successful candidate must pass a criminal background check and a financial background check.
