The Vice President, Cloud Migrations is responsible for Splunk's customer cloud adoption and migration outcomes. With primary responsibility for accelerating our customer's cloud transformations by creating and implementing strategies to accelerate adoption and use of the Splunk Cloud Platform, inclusive of all of Splunk's offerings, this leader will work across Splunk's Product, Engineering, Sales, Partner, and Customer Success teams to drive the cloud migration strategy for customers.

Reporting into Splunk's Chief Customer Officer and as the key point of integration and prioritization across Splunk's Cloud activities, the role will strengthen existing partnerships and forge new, cloud-related alliances to drive Splunk's cloud brand, customer engagement, and pipeline.

Responsibilities:

+ Own end-to-end strategy, process design, and execution of existing customer migrations to the Cloud

+ Create customer focused programs (pricing/packaging, sales, technical advisory, customer success and professional services) that span the customer engagement lifecycle to improve and accelerate our customer's cloud transformation journeys

+ Strategic Advisor to top 50 term ARR customers in bringing them to the Cloud

+ Drive top line cloud ARR sales growth through active management of cloud sales process

+ Actively pursue top 50 sales teams with programs, policies and curated engagement

+ Ensure capacity and process are available for other cloud migrations in support of our top line ARR goals

+ Maintain a technical team who builds and evolves customer-centric technical guidance, messaging and advisory given ongoing Cloud transformation

+ Build and manage a technical advisory team on Cloud adoption and post-sales cloud success

+ Create cloud reference architectures, tools, and automation that simplifies and accelerates our customer's cloud journeys. Capitalize on Splunk's capabilities and interoperability with customer and partner technologies

+ Build and run a focused, high performance migration team that includes services, partner enablement/advisory, and program management

+ PMO for active management of Cloud transition; Ensure post sales success and hand off to traditional customer success teams

+ Create and execute comprehensive cloud migration success plans for Splunk's top 100 customers

+ Professional services tooling and execution team focused on cloud migrations

Key activities include:

+ Leading customer success in the movement of term customers to the Cloud

+ Building and leading a technical PMO organization to lead complex end to end migrations

+ Building an effective cross functional engagement model to ensure program consistency/effectivity, accelerate critical decision making and drive alignment on priorities

+ Building mechanisms to continuously improve/speed the migration process and to ensure product/infrastructure capability to handle large, complex migrations

+ Providing feedback to the product management and engineering teams on critical roadmap items that enable customers to move to Cloud and expand rapidly

Requirements:

+ 15+ years of experience in Software/SaaS/Subscription industry having played multiple roles including in engineering/cloud engineering, technical delivery, pre-sales, and customer relationship management

+ Basic understanding of Splunk product offerings and Cloud migration strategy

+ Excellent customer relationship management skills, ability to communicate effectively across customer organizations at all levels: executives, stakeholders, product, and delivery organizations, including driving cloud strategy, technology, and architecture discussions with customers

+ Demonstrable ability to drive innovative change across a global business in a matrixed environment and shown ability to lead through influence and collaboration

+ Excellent communication skills including professional writing skills, verbal skills and presentation skills

+ Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations.

+ Minimum bachelor's degree required

Preferred Capabilities or Experiences

+ Deep understanding of Splunk product offerings and Cloud strategy

+ Business consulting experience with demonstrated success in the following:

+ Developing and maintaining executive relationships and associated influencing strategies

+ Project management including managing disparate, cross-enterprise project teams

+ Ability to have value-based conversation with business executives

+ Experience managing Cloud products, product offerings and customer experience with Cloud products

+ Strong organizational skills

+ Master's degree
