Summary: The primary responsibility of the Marketing Administrator will be to support the department’s administrative needs as well as assist in executing marketing initiatives and provide daily support to the marketing team to achieve specific, measurable marketing goals that have been identified for them. Marketing initiatives include but are not limited to sweepstakes & fulfillment, traditional marketing programs, Out-of-Home programs, public relations, social media, etc.


  • Assist DVP in managing the department budgets, by maintaining detailed tracking for all budget lines and invoicing of which includes properly coding/processing all department expenses in a timely fashion.

  • Manage the department’s business travel and PTO calendars to assure that each department has sufficient coverage.

  • Aid in executing marketing campaigns (print, mobile, etc.)

  • Assist in coordinating execution & fulfillment for sweepstakes in-store, online and on all social media platforms (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Instagram) for Spirit Halloween and Spencer’s

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing promotions by working with the marketing manager to input promotion codes in relevant systems and maintain detailed record-keeping of all codes.

  • Help manage timelines and ensure that projects are completed on time and deliverables are organized.

  • Assist in maintaining the Spirit and Spencer’s brand standards along with partner/licensed brand standards.

  • Assist in completing reports and presentations for all marketing programs including Power Points, Excel reports and simple recaps.

  • Administrative responsibilities as needed by DVP and Marketing Manager.


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Accounting skills and budget management. Must be an “Excel Black belt”

  • Solid knowledge of the Internet and MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Great attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, an upbeat attitude and the ability to think on your feet.

  • Knowledge and practical experience with Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent proofreading, time management and multiple project prioritization skills are a must.

  • Can-do team player attitude with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong sense of urgency, drive and passion to take ownership of all projects.

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Experience using a social media tools such as Sprinklr and Shortstack, etc. a plus.

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. This includes Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must be proficient in with Excel spreadsheets and understand formulas in order to calculate and track results and budgets.

  • Retail and/or customer service experience a plus.

  • Interest in Halloween, pop-culture, music, teen lifestyle a plus.
