Surgical Technician -09/01/2024

Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics Oregon, IL (Onsite) Full-Time

Mobridge Regional Hospital is looking for Certified Surgical Technicians or LPNs to join our surgery team. This position will work in the OR with a general surgeon and other physicians performing various procedures.



Responsibilities:

  • Prepares for the surgical procedures.
  • Directly assists the surgeon and surgical team with procedures.
  • Direct and indirect patient care.
  • Basic sterile technique of the Operating Room (OR).
  • Actively participates in safety measures, organizes and maintains sterile field, as well as maintains awareness of the location of all supplies needed for the procedures.
  • Makes sure all sterile supplies are ready and available for the procedures.
  • Has knowledge of proper cleaning of the OR.
  • Assists with the processing of surgical equipment, including the cleaning, packaging, and sterilization of the surgical trays and equipment for the trays involved in surgical procedures in both the OR and the clinics.
  • Acts as a resource to the patient care areas for cleaning and placement of all sterilized trays.


Minimum Education Preference:

High school graduate, with the completion of a surgical tech program and the ability to obtain certification as a Surgical Tech.

We prefer applicants to have experience as a Surgical Tech, but will consider new graduates. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is required as soon as possible following hire (within two months of being hired). LPN Licensure will be considered, with proper training and skills.



Qualifications:

Applicants should have good communication skills, as there is constant communication both oral and written between staff, providers, patients, families, and visitors.



Work Schedule:

6:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Friday, with rotating night, weekend, and holiday call.



Salary and Benefits:

Salary range for this position depends on education, certifications, and experience. Mobridge Regional Hospital has excellent shift differentials and call-back pay. This position is eligible for all MRH benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k, flex spending accounts, paid time off, and sick leave.
