Our Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business enables client success by providing an integrated suite of cash management, working capital and trade finance services to multinational corporations, financial institutions, and public sector organizations across the globe. With banking licenses in over 100 countries, TTS leads the way in offering a range of digitally enabled treasury, trade, and liquidity management solutions.
As a Senior UX Designer for TTS, you will work on high-profile projects, performing end to end design activities from discovery and research to prototyping and validating design solutions with end users to crafting the final design deliverables. You will collaborate closely with product and tech partners along the way always driving towards finding simple, easy-to-use, intuitive, and elegant solutions for complex design problems.

the design process is your goal and you will continuously look to improve processes and methods to achieve this.
This role reports to one of our Design Directors within the TTS Global UX Design team.
Responsibilities:
• Create design assets including, but not limited to, user journey flows, wireframes, visual designs, service blueprints, prototypes and hi-fidelity detailed specs that capture and convey behaviors and design implementation details.
• Consume user research data (from usability studies, surveys, interviews, etc.) and usage metrics to inform design choices.
• Undertake user research activities (with or without the support of a dedicated researcher) ensuring a thoughtful approach to validating product ideas, hypotheses, and concepts with users early and often.
• Act as a champion and advocate for good user experience, sharing best practices on complying with ADA/WCAG standards for accessibility as well as demonstrating curiosity about user needs and behaviors.
• Demonstrate a proven approach to efficiently and effectively discovering and mapping user needs, experiences, and customer journeys.
• Demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills that allow you to both curiously probe the customer problem space but also demonstrate you have sound judgment in determining design efforts and activities that will achieve maximum impact and ROI against specific timelines and budgets.
• Understand Citi Infrastructure and work on solutions that can be implemented in a timely manner, to make client impact.
• Maintain a high bar for usability, beauty, quality, and consistency through applying best practice design UCD principles.
• Engage in collaboration with your peers whether that’s in design feedback sessions or in ensuring that you’re all in alignment on larger product goals and initiatives. Help to train,
support, and develop junior team members. Confidently challenge substandard work by other team members and provide coaching and guidance to resolve.
• Help to accelerate team efficiency by improving processes and workflows both within the design team as well as within wider cross functional product and tech teams. This includes helping to hold each other accountable to delivery timelines, how we track, share, and document our work.
• Contribute to and positively shape the design team’s culture through collaboration, feedback, and process iteration.
• Use and contribute to the approved design system.
• Deliver on-time, identifying and managing risks to ensure timelines are met, and escalating where needed.
• Contribute to the wider UX community of practice at Citi.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular
consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Experience & Education:
• 5-8+ years of experience designing delightful user experiences for a range of responsive desktop, web and native mobile apps and a portfolio showing your processes and deliverables. We are interested in learning how you approach problems and think through them.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical, problem-solving skills
• Significant experience working on complex, enterprise-scale design projects in an environment where continuous design and delivery are the norm.
• Significant experience working with senior clients, stakeholders and developers.
• Experience contributing to and consuming component-based design systems.
• Expertise in Figma and other relevant UX design and research software tools.
• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree in HCI or design related field, with an emphasis on user experience, interaction design, or visual design a plus
• Experience prototyping in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong oral and written presentation skills
• Financial services industry experience preferred
