Roles and Responsibilities:
• Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Signs in and out all personnel to verify they are authorized on location. Check supporting documents to insure they are authorized access.
• Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Answers alarms at request of Company Man
• Stations themselves at the entrance of the site.
• Advises individuals of site requirements.
• Warns persons of rule infractions or violations
• Under supervision, relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, related tasks and duties expressed, implied or otherwise assigned by the Manager, Division/District Manager.
Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Familiarity in the oil and gas industry added plus.
Other Required Skills: Incumbent should be able to maintain composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations. Incumbent should be able to accept criticism and deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations. Position requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges. Reliability, responsibility, and dependability required. Customer service skills to include being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude. Incumbent should be able to being sensitive to situations and being understanding and helpful on the job. Position requires being honest and ethical. Incumbent be able to analyze information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems. Detail oriented and thorough in completing work tasks.
Job Training: Incumbent will receive H2S training. Training will include basic H2S, CPR First Aide, 4 gas meter, Safeland or Safegulf, Man down training, basic alarm functions, bump test of sensor.
Scope and Responsibility: Works under supervision. Specific instructions are given on assignments or follows written or verbal instructions and established procedures and standard practice to perform assigned tasks.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb, stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Office, Field and/or Shop environment. Some exposure to wet, humid, outside weather and extreme weather conditions, moving mechanical parts and high elevations.
