PROJECT ENGINEER, Construction Services – Commercial– Roseville, CA

We’re seeking a Construction Services Project Engineer who will support various project management teams by taking on essential project tasks assigned to our Project Management Support Team (PMST). These tasks can come in the form of individual deliverables, or ongoing responsibilities that you will own for a pre-determined duration of a project. You have advanced skills in MS Word and Excel. Extra points for experience with Accubid. Most of all, you’re passionate about upholding Cupertino Electric’s values and being an asset to your team.

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Material Procurement Support
    • Submittal development
    • Purchase order issuance
    • Vendor coordination
    • Material tracking & management of logs
  • Estimating
    • Support estimating department with bids as needed
    • Post bid pricing exercises, value engineering
    • Change order pricing
    • Budgeting support
  • Pre-construction Support
    • Gather and organize pertinent information for preconstruction, BIM, and engineering
    • Manage constructability logs
    • Write RFIs
  • Document Control
    • Set-up and manage project file structure
    • Set-up and manage Plangrid
    • Manage drawing revisions and maintain logs
  • Close-out & Commissioning Support
  • Miscellaneous Project Management Tasks
    • There are few limitations for what tasks you can take on as a CS-PE. You will be required to own various a-typical deliverables that a project manager assigns to help support the daily functions of managing their projects.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed to support the projects or objectives of the department

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering is a plus
  • Two or more years of construction industry experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in estimating with ability to price change orders and any assigned systems to support a bid
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Bluebeam, Accubid, and Livecount
  •  Verifiable experience of safe, reliable, and integrity-driven work habits, including working in an unsupervised field setting when appropriate  
  • A balance of technical knowledge and communications skills
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, team atmosphere
