General Purpose

Manages PacifiCorp's relationship with Bonneville Power Administration and Western Area Power Administration. Performs legislative, regulatory and relationship functions. Works to develop and facilitate strategic business objectives, strategies, and plans in support of Company strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with internal and external customers, develop and plan case-filing schedules including PacifiCorp Average System Cost filings and PacifiCorp's participation in Bonneville and WAPA rate cases, including the post-2028 Residential Exchange Program regional settlement process.
  • Collaborate with various technical groups within PacifiCorp regarding the planning and development of actual filings.
  • Develop regulatory strategies in conjunction with business objectives.
  • Build relationships with Bonneville and WAPA staff and other regional entities/representatives and organizations.
  • Testify at Bonneville and WAPA hearings.
  • Advise the company on Bonneville and WAPA rates and policy issues that will impact the company's transmission or power contracts or other business relationships.
  • Collaborate with Pacific Power legal team to ensure all schedules and deadlines are met.
  • Provide technical and policy assistance to legal team on Bonneville issues.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Finance, Accounting, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of utility and/or regulatory experience.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, and model information.
  • Teamwork skills to negotiate with and influence peers and management on policy and strategic issues.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills including ability to effectively consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues of policy and strategic issues.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and background, and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15.00% of salary.
