Product Reliability and Testing Engineer

ROLE CTQs:
- Have experience in Product Testing and Reliability Engineering
- Must have a bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical desired)
- ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer - Preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - Preferred
- Strong recent use and knowledge of Six Sigma tools and their basic statistical principles – SPC, FMEA, and DOE (a plus)
- Strong Knowledge of Reliability Engineering
- Must be able to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship
- Experience with Minitab or other Statistical Software is a major Plus

Position Description and Responsibilities:
This is a key position within our client's Warranty and Product Quality organization. This position requires a very skilled Product Testing and Product Reliability Engineer that will serve as the organization's key focal point in the establishment of reliability and test plans that accurately assess performance and failure potential based on industry standards and customer requirements for the entire organization.
- This position will serve as the key resource to assist internal teams (Warranty Analytics, Procurement, Product Development, and Marketing) in reliability and product failure-related issues.
- This position will be responsible for identifying and managing product reliability risks that could adversely affect product performance and the business reputation of the company
- This position will conduct product testing and reliability modeling to assess performance over time and predict product future issues on the company’s consumer and commercial products
- This position will manage and lead test lab personnel, including daily scheduling and budgeting of testing to maximize asset utilization
- This position will establish reliability and test plans that accurately assess performance and failure potential based on customer requirements and industry standards
- This position will test and evaluate manufacturing improvements and changes based on reliability testing and predictive modeling
- This position will leverage tools such as Reliability Growth Modeling to measure and predict product performance over time, identify failures and identify improvements need to enhance product performance.
- This position will identify and report potential product failures and product testing failures back to manufacturing and product suppliers when necessary.
- This position will help to monitor product performance in the field, understand customer-facing product issues, and drive failure analysis and corrective action with key stakeholders in the organization.
Position Critical to Quality + Success (CTQ+S): Technical Behavioral Requirements:
- BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited college/university (Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred)
- Test Team Leadership Experience of hourly associates a plus
- Strong Analytic Skills, Data-driven with demonstrated experience in reliability planning, reliability growth modeling, testing methodologies, and reliability statistics
- Experience with Minitab or other Statistical Software is a major Plus
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) a plus
- ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer – Preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - Preferred
