Title: Contact Center Professional
Location: Birmingham, AL
About this position: Vaco has been engaged by a top company in Birmingham to add a Contact Center Professional to their growing team. This person will serve as the liaison between the company and its current clients. A successful candidate will be able to accept ownership for effectively managing client issues and inquiries, keeping client satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior.
- Manage inbound and outbound calls and respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Provide customers with product and service information.
- Transfer customer calls to the appropriate staff.
- Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using the computer system.
- Follow-up on customer inquires not immediately resolved.
- Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by taking the extra mile.
- Prepare reports for management.
- Research billing issues and misapplied payments.
- Recognize, document and alert the supervisor of trends in customer calls.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Degree preferred, or a minimum of three years related experience.
- Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service software applications.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type 30 wpm.
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening.
