Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Cancer Biology at Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine (SSOM) invites applications from both basic and physician scientists for a tenure-track position at the ASSISTANT and ASSOCIATE Professor level. We seek innovators to advance cancer-focused studies that can integrate both foundational and clinical investigations as part of Loyola University Chicago's initiative to significantly expand its nationally recognized cancer programs in partnership with Trinity Health. We are looking to recruit tenure-track research faculty to join our Department of Cancer Biology, whose research efforts will integrate with our clinical oncology strengths in the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center and laboratory research programs in the areas of Cancer Immunotherapy, Cancer Signaling, and Cancer Gene Regulation and Genomic Maintenance. Complementary research areas might include investigations focused on oncologic processes and mechanisms, cancer cause and/or prevention and therapeutic discovery. The Stritch School of Medicine is a strongly collaborative research environment with substantial core facilities and integrated graduate education programs. Faculty responsibilities include sustaining an independent, externally-funded research program, and contributing to graduate and medical education.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a PhD, MD/PhD or MD degree, a strong publication record and current extramural research support.
