Job Summary

- Essential Functions/Duties JT3 is recruiting for someone who specializes with devices that are designed to operate in the radio frequency (RF) spectrum and who works on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing a combination of the following: installing, maintaining, repairing, microwave amplifiers and transmissions lines, high voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays and antenna positions systems.
  • Operates and maintains radar electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital LRUs, industrial measuring and control equipment, microwave amplifiers, transmission lines, high voltage power supplies, and antenna positioning systems.
  • Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment.
  • Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and effects repairs to restore equipment to required to operating condition.
  • Manipulates computer keyboards and views and interprets computer displays.
  • Troubleshoots to the LRU and makes needed repairs.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to the employee's job.


    Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors. Outdoors duties may be performed on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet surfaces, in all weather conditions. Outdoor duties may be performed on gravel or shingled roof. Climbing stars, ladders, towers, and scaffolds, indoors or outdoors is required. Government vehicles are provided for use on range. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a field environment with variable hours in support of operations and overnight stays on range or at remote locations may be required.


    Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or technical school and/or military equivalent. In-depth knowledge of mathematics, physics, general electronics theory, and microwave theory. Demonstrated proficiency in areas such as wave propagation, impedance transforms, and RF filters. Comprehensive knowledge with a good understanding of electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems along with test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment is necessary. Experience with RF receivers, LNA systems, high-power RF devices, RF amplifiers, RF up/down converters are required. Candidates shall provide support for tactical support of DRFM based radar platforms. At least five years of hands on experience is required. Desired experience: Understanding of Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) waveforms, Electronic Warfare (EW), and Disruption/Deception (D²) techniques. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Driver's License. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance up to Top Secret. An existing security clearance is strongly desired.
