We are seeking a high performance sales desk manager to join our team as we are in heavy growth mode. Ideal candidates include current Sales Desk Managers and professionals with training backgrounds. Internal Wholesalers who have a proven background of sales results and informal mentoring/training are encouraged to apply.

  • Oversee staff in areas related to: SWBC compliance, policies and procedures, FINRA, state insurance and other regulatory entities as required.
  • Provides staff with scheduled and customized coaching which include bi-weekly call reviews (one scored), and at least one scheduled one on one designed for position and career development
  • Leadership-provides direction and dissemination of how daily activity translates into the overall objectives of sales and SWBC as a whole.
  • Addresses concerns and any issues that would prohibit said objectives from being met.
  • Conduct training and development sessions as needed in line with key initiatives such as product launches, new firm/bank on-boarding and technology implementation.
  • Verse in competitive landscape to the extent of being able to be a resource, train and coach accordingly.
  • Monitor, escalate and act on performance management issues.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert as the opportunity and need arises with other areas of the organization. This can be both on a project scale as well as an "as needed" basis.
  • Coordinate and execute on various marketing initiatives, calling campaigns and product launches.
  • Act as an resource that is both accessible and thorough in delivering what staff needs in researching complex issues so that they may continue to be creditable in their efforts with clients.
  • Provide regular trend analysis on: call volume, trends on what types of calls received, feedback from clients and items related to inroads we are or are not making with certain accounts.
  • Escalate any items e.g. technology, product issues etc. that in any way impede the progress of the sales process and/or put SWBC at risk; reputation or otherwise.
  • Act as a resource and champion for sales by moving ideas forward. This can include items that allow for or explore: better ways of doing business, sales ideas, simple process improvements and staff concerns on overall work environment.
  • Consistently build, coach and monitor individual career paths of your direct reports.
  • Review and evaluate candidate resumes and related information.
  • Interview candidates for both Financial Advisor and Client Associate positions in order to make sound recommendations for the final offer.
  • Work directly with HR and management in order to ensure all necessary process and procedure is followed within both the hiring process as well as on-boarding.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sales and leadership in financial services industry experience.
  • Securities licenses 7, 63, 24, and Health and Life Insurance license (all can be earned within 8 weeks from start date)
  • Strong knowledge of securities/investment laws and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of institutional sales process/relationship selling.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance sales.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and client engagement skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.
  • Able to type 35 WPM.
  • Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane.
  • Sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
  • Stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.
  • Push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
