Operations Manager

WIS is full-service retail services organization with an experienced field staff across all 50 states and Canada. We are committed to increasing sales and profits for our clients by delivering in-store solutions to meet their needs. We sweat the details because we know in retail, execution is everything. Because of this mindset we are experiencing unprecedented growth and are seeking an Operations (Merchandising) Manager to actively support one of our major clients. The position will be based in Dallas, Texas.

The Operations Manager is responsible for providing guidance in setting the overall direction of a client’s program and is accountable for the operational effectiveness of the various elements of said program. The incumbent will closely monitor key performance metrics and work closely with program leadership and shared services functions to support client’s needs and expectations. Specific duties include:   

  • Works with Client Services Managers and other key account team partners to determine meaningful business metrics for the program and supports efforts to build necessary analytics and reporting
  • Oversees and monitors all fulfillment activities and ensures assets are deployed accurately, timely and thoroughly. Actively manages inventory supply within budget and analyzes runs rates for field usage
  • Continuously works to enhance operational systems, processes and policies in support of designated program goals – specifically focuses on improving reporting, information flow and management, business processes and organizational planning
  • Develops, maintains and deploys weekly field data collection surveys – produces field activity reports, and manages reporting exceptions and resolutions
  • Manages relationships with clients, vendors, developers and third-party logistics warehouses
  • Ensures all KPIs are achieved, while driving both top and bottom line growth for key client and the company

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or three or more years in a service industry
  • One to two years’ experience developing, tracking and monitoring functional metrics, and/or participating in or leading process improvement initiatives
  • One to two years’ inventory planning and inventory management experience
  • One or more years-experience in a retail, merchandising or marketing environment
  • Extensive knowledge and use of the iOS platform are required
  • Outstanding organizational skills, natural ability for attention to detail, project management experience, ability to self-manage and prioritize daily tasks
  • Excellent judgement, effective problem resolution skills, sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple demands
  • Ability to work in ambiguity in a fast-paced, results oriented environment
