Human Resource Coordinator will focus on duties in several key functional areas; employee relations, recruitment, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, safety, and employment law compliance. The Human Resource Coordinator must possess a servant leadership demeanor and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and all team members.



Core responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for all open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Updates and writes job descriptions and places advertisements.

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Conducts and/or coordinates background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

  • Prepare new hire offer letters and conducts the onboarding process.

  • Works with the management team to support the administration of Worker's Compensation and the coordination of workplace safety programs, safety procedures, polices, and practices.

  • Consults with managers and supervisors on absenteeism, turnover and takes actions where necessary

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity,

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training and certifications.

  • Retains human resource records by maintaining a filing and retrieval system to keep past and current records.

  • Manages a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; assist with conducting mid-year and yearly job evaluations; and recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.

  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors.

  • The ability to handle other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field

  • 4+ years working in human resource role

  • Knowledge of all federal and state laws and regulations, filing and compliance requirements including COBRA, FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation and DOL requirements

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

  • Ability and willingness to travel between company locations

  • Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams with or without formal authority

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Able to work with all levels of staff

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
