Staffmark has openings for Extrusion Operators in the Belton area.  This position works a shift that rotates weekly between 1st,  2nd, and 3rd shifts.  Let's talk today! 

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

Walk entire extrusion area to determine which machines will doff off on current shift.

Locate and arrange yarn pin trucks.

Locate empty yarn tubes and place on trucks.

Walk lines and place yarn ID labels on each running winder.

Doff yarn from winder to pin truck.

Push full trucks to scales, weigh and move to appropriate location.

Burn waste yarn off tubes as needed.

Collect and bale waste as needed.

Sweep and clean work area and leave in good condition for next shift.

Follow good safety practices at all times.

All work must be started and completed on a timely basis as indicated by supervisor and doff horn.

Doffer must complete any doffs started even if they extend into next shift.

Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Special Skills:

Must understand how all types of winders operate and are threaded.

General Skills:

Manual dexterity

Good strength

Physical endurance

Hand/Eye Co-ordination

Physical Demands:

Able to work minimum of 8 hours of constant physical activity with only 40 minutes of personal time

Overtime as needed

Able to tolerate temperature ranges from 65 to 100 degrees for a minimum of 8 hours.

Able to push/pull heavy objects with legs and back.

Good close vision and color vision

Lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly from winders to truck floor level to 6 ft.

Must be able to bend at waist for 15 to 20 minutes while doffing a line and handling up to 25 lbs.
