PC Operations Manager

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a PC Operations Manager. As a PC Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the inside operations of the scaffold PC.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Distribution yard:
Responsible for the management of the yard coordinator (see Scaffolding Yardman Manager's job description), yard employees and all temporary yard labor
Proper receipt of all incoming equipment including verification of counts, inspection of the condition of the equipment and the completion of all required paperwork
Responsible for maintaining the equipment in an organized fashion (i.e., separation of equipment requiring maintenance, equipment to be charged to the customer, and equipment that is rent ready)
Insure that any damaged equipment is repaired properly
Properly account for equipment that is to be charged to the customer
Perform daily and weekly truck audits
Responsible for inventory management
Communication of level of inventories to management
Hold daily morning yard meetings to discuss daily objectives and safety issues
Monitor all preventive maintenance of yard equipment and supplies
Maintaining well organized and safe premises.
Responsible for the management of all drivers (see Scaffolding Driver's job description)
Schedule and coordinate all equipment transportation
Perform daily and weekly truck audits
Perform weekly truck inspections for proper safety equipment, truck accessories and the condition of the interior and exterior
Hold daily morning meetings to discuss schedule and safety issues
Monitor all truck preventive maintenance, licensing, and D.O.T. requirements.
Responsible for the management of all hoist mechanics (see Scaffolding Hoist Manager's job description)
Ensure that all equipment is maintained and repair according to manufacturer's requirements
Ensure that work orders and SMF's are utilized
Maintain a perpetual parts inventory.
• Inside Sales:
Responsible for the management of all inside sales activities (see Scaffold Rental Manager's job description)
Handle all walk in customers
Provide support to all outside sales efforts
Handle all phone orders and sales questions
Develop the market through phone contacts.
Responsible for the day to day operations if the profit center
Responsible for cost control
Ensure that Profit Center is in compliance with company policies and procedures
The operations manager will be versed in the following topics:
All aspects of the business operation and markets
All safety regulations concerning the products, their safe use, and the safety of the facility
Proper use of the equipment
OSHA 1926.451 subpart L scaffold regulations.
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
