Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager, Donor Relations will be responsible for fostering and strengthening relationships with partner hospitals, ensuring continued support, and enhancing engagement with our charitable initiatives. This role includes overseeing and coordinating our Spirit of Children's Charity efforts, which involves managing communications with donors and partner hospitals, organizing events and presentations, and supporting fundraising campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for philanthropy, and the ability to collaborate closely with donors to enrich their experience and deepen their commitment to the organization.
- Partner with internal teams, including Creative, Public Relations, and Marketing, as well as partner hospitals, to create impactful presentations and videos that showcase charitable efforts
- Develop and sustain strong, personalized relationships with partner hospitals, ensuring consistent and high-touch engagement
- Oversee the creation and distribution of communication materials to partner hospitals, such as marketing kits, event kits, merchandise, and other resources, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and charitable goals
- Prepare regular reports for senior leadership, tracking charity performance, engagement metrics, and progress toward fundraising objectives
- Coordinate the ordering and delivery of necessary supplies for charity events, awards, and fundraising activities, such as branded merchandise, donation items, and certificates
- Manage the scheduling and logistics for all partner hospital events, including kickoff meetings, welcome sessions, fundraising events, and training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Over 5 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or nonprofit development, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership role
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities, with a talent for engaging donors and crafting personalized messages and reports
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams, guiding them toward organizational goals, and a deep passion for the organization's mission
- Experience in planning and coordinating donor-related events, ensuring successful engagement and fundraising outcomes preferred
- Familiarity with social media platforms, digital communication strategies, and digital fundraising tools to enhance outreach and engagement preferred
- In-depth understanding of fundraising strategies, including major gifts, planned giving, and corporate sponsorships with previous experience managing major gift programs or large donor portfolios in a fundraising environment preferred
