Kelly Services is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Southwest Charlotte, North Carolina area to join our client's team. This position is replacing an employee who was promoted internally so they are looking to move quickly. This position will be assigned a specific list of vendors and will be responsible for full cycle accounts payable for all of these assigned vendors. Due to this, prior experience performing full cycle accounts payable is a must since this position will include matching, batching, coding, and assisting with check runs. Our client is a very stable organization in the manufacturing/distribution industry that boasts a fantastic company culture. Additional information below:   Additional Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle accounts payable processing
  • Process invoices for payment related to expenses, material, services, and freight
  • Vendor Maintenance - includes answering payment inquiries, requesting W-9, invoice copies, and statement verifications
  • Review and reconcile monthly good receipt/invoice receipt reports
  • Might assist with expense reports reviews
  • Might assist with inventory
  • Other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Prior college coursework or degree is a plus
  • 2+ years of prior accounts payable experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experience in a mid-high volume processing environment is required
  • Prior experience in the distribution or manufacturing industry
  • Prior experience with large ERP systems is required (JD Edwards preferred) 
  • Knowledge of 3-way match in a large ERP environment
  • Strong communication skills - internally and externally
