IN VIVO DRUG DISCOVERY SCIENTIST
HOPEWELL / PENNINGTON, NJ

Project Description:
  • Assist in vivo and ex vivo experiments to support drug discovery programs within the Department of Cardiovascular and Fibrotic Diseases Discovery.
  • The successful candidate will support in vivo studies via dosing and handling.
  • Responsibilities will include execution of in vivo studies to evaluate test compounds, recording data, data analysis and presentation of results.

Required Skills:
  • B.S. in cell physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related discipline.
  • Preferred: >5 years of relevant experience after degree.
  • Animal handling experience.
  • Dosing of animals, blood sampling and experience with necropsy procedures required.
  • Background/experience in cardiovascular techniques such as echocardiography of rodents or rodent surgery a plus.
  • Computer-aided analysis of histological images.
  • Basic understanding of histological techniques and methods also desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with track record of proactive collaboration with scientists in a laboratory and working group environment.
