Position Responsibilities

  • Develop, negotiate and review contracts, including customer and vendor agreements, commercial and industrial real estate purchase / sale contracts and leases and third-party service agreements.

  • Assist outside counsel in representing Uline and its owners in litigation, agency actions and other disputes.

  • Oversee corporate counsel and / or legal staff as assigned by General Counsel.

  • Conduct research, prepare documents and provide legal advice regarding human resources issues, such as immigration, employment law, benefits and workers’ compensation issues.

  • Conduct research, prepare documents and provide legal advice regarding a variety of other legal issues in response to requests from company managers and owners.

  • Interpret laws, rulings and regulations to determine applicability to Uline's business.

  • Assist in investigating and conferring with colleagues to evaluate legal and compliance risks and determine how to address them.

  • Participate in functional leadership and project teams as appropriate based on skills and experience.

  • Provide training to company managers and employees as appropriate based on skills and experience.


Minimum Requirements

  • Jurist Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school.

  • At least 7+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate setting.

  • Civil litigation, business negotiations, risk management and compliance experience a plus.

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin or eligible for admission as in-house counsel.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Well organized, detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task
