Advance Practice Providers-APNs and Physician Assistants

Northshore Edward Elmhurst Health is actively recruiting experienced Emergency Department and Immediate Care nurse practitioners and physician assistants to join our team. APN candidates must meet the following requirements:

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN of MS)
• Certification in area of specialty
• ACLS and PALA
• DEA

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

• Previous experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current State of Illinois Advance Practice Nurse license and a collaborative practice agreement
• Current CPR Certification issued by either the American Heart Association or Red Cross

Physician Assistant candidates must meet the following requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program

Required License and/or Certification:

• Current State of Illinois Physician Assistant licensure
• Certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

A relatively high level of analytical ability is required. Incumbents must collect, analyze, and interpret data in order to solve problems requiring a professional level of knowledge in a specific discipline and/or design relatively complex clinical or administrative systems and programs.
