Global Travel Advisor

The Cardinal Health Global Travel vision is to function in tandem with the company’s business needs and to proactively prevent or mitigate risk while protecting significant company assets and being prepared to respond in an appropriate and professional manner when required.  We create value and maintain Duty of Care through superior execution of a global travel program.  The Global Travel team structures our services with specific focus on efficiency and to ever-changing global risks.

Accountabilities

Global Travel Program Support​ - 45%

  • Assess current processes, recommend future processes, and help implement changes for standardization of global travel processes
  • Analyze travel patterns and make recommendations to account management for cost savings and productivity enhancements
  • Provide global reporting
  • Provide technical support for online booking tools
  • Car rental program administration

Regional Support - 40%

  • Assist travelers with policy clarification and travel issues; work to satisfactory resolution or escalate, as needed
  • Monitor travel compliance and strategies to improve compliance
  • Vendor and supplier support
  • Internal and external relationship building
  • Implementation support
  • Negotiate rates or contracts with travel suppliers

Special Projects - 15%

  • Assist with special projects for Global Travel
  • Metrics and data analysis

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Hospitality field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Experience: 4+ years experience in related field, preferred
  • Travel: ability to travel up to 10%
  • Location: must be based out of Cardinal Health's Global Headquarters in Dublin, OH

  • Knowledge of technology systems (Concur Travel, etc.) is preferred
  • Demonstrates knowledge of corporate concepts, policies and procedures
