Site Safety Specialist
- Providing technical and regulatory expertise in conjunction with the EHS Team Leader to ensure compliance, safe workplaces, and continuous improvement of EHS programs.
- Collaborating with site management to address compliance concerns.
- Leading and delivering all required safety training to site employees in alignment with BASF EHS policies/programs to meet federal, state, and local requirements.
- Working with site management, corporate EHS, and other parties to prepare for audits related to this site.
- Taking the lead in implementing corporate standardized EHS policies and procedures, including Safe Work Permits, Job Safety Analysis, Management of Change, Incident/Accident investigation, Ergonomics, and HAZCOM.
If you have...
- Bachelor's degree with studies in a related field (preferred).
- 5 or more years of demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, or other relevant industry, with knowledge of Occupational Safety.
- Extensive regulatory (OSHA, EPA, DOT, DHS) and technical safety expertise is essential.
- English and Spanish bilingual skills, strongly preferred.
- Professional Certification (CSP, CIH, etc.) or completed within 18 months of employment.
- PSM (Process Safety Managed)/RMP (Risk Management Plan) knowledge and expertise, preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10%
