POSITION OVERVIEW

Assigned position is in a multi-discipline Project Management Team (PMT) that provides general Engineering and Construction oversight support during the EPC phases of LNG projects.

This position is responsible for providing support to engineering, regulatory, construction, startup and commissioning, and plant operations after handover.

The assigned work location will be onsite at the CCLNG in Gregory, TX with some business travel to the Cheniere Engineering & Construction office in Houston, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

* Participate on a multi-discipline team of Engineers that provide Company Engineering support to the Construction and Quality managers.
* Actively participate in project safety initiatives and walkdowns.
* At the Construction Site, provide Company supervision to the safe work of the EPC contractor and subcontractors, adherence to approved designs, project specifications, schedule and budget that comply with safety and environmental regulations/procedures, and other statutory requirements.
* Provide oversight on Owner Driven Projects
* During Construction, support the Management of Change process for all plant modifications, review and approve changes through the change order process and verify that documents and drawings are up to date.
* Ensures all Design Change Notice (DCN's), Field Change Document (FCD's), and Non-Conformance Report (NCR's) have had appropriate discipline engineering team review and endorsement
* Assist with developing responses to questions from regulators including FERC/PHMSA
* Survey the jobsite regularly
* Monitor installation of vendor packages against design guarantees and warranties and monitor equipment performance during commissioning.
* Keep Cheniere Engineering Supervisor informed of any technical, schedule or cost impacts as well as any impacts to other project tasks & activities

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Knowledge:

Understanding of all facets of the engineering, procurement, construction, and operation of world class midstream and LNG liquefaction plants, including health, safety, quality, logistics, project controls, human resources, plant operating and maintenance procedures, governmental regulations, and associated codes and standards. Familiar with the hazards of hydrocarbon processes and the methods used to keep process facilities safe. In-depth knowledge of LNG process engineering. Experience and knowledge with US FERC/PHMSA regulatory requirements. Exposure and familiarity to Chart liquefaction process would be an advantage.

* Possess the personality and ability to relate to and to establish a mutually respectful relationship with 1) management, 2) peers and 3) the various facility level workers 4) EPC contractor.
* Organized, planning skills, able to manage multiple activities and programs in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines.
* Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
* Computer savvy including Project Management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education, Training and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related discipline is required, Professional Engineering License in good standing with at least one state is preferred.

Experience: 5+ years related experience in oil and gas construction, with experience on owner's team for LNG projects being highly preferred.

The Senior, Project Engineer is an expert in their field and requires minimal supervision and has the ability to multi-task and function in a highly dynamic atmosphere; must exercise discretion independently.

WORK CONDITIONS

* Job is performed in a typical office environment located near the construction site.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors and outdoors, and exposed to year around weather conditions, noise, and occasionally process gases and vapors.
* Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations.
* Able to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card.
* Typical work week consist of 50 hours. Monday through Friday
