Job Description 

Senior Tax Accountant 
Description
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  
  • Prepare various federal, state and international business filings, local tax registrations, and sales/value added tax returns
  • Reconcile tax accounts and payments while researching issues as needed
  • Assist in research of federal, state and international tax issues and prepare memos as needed
  • Coordinate and monitor foreign tax obligations with internal and external teams
  • Maintain tax database/records in POST software
  • Prepare and coordinate work papers for U.S and foreign tax returns
  • Participate in the implementation of a new finance system pertaining to tax matters
  • Work with the Partner Accounting team on various tax related issues such as calculation of estimated tax for departed partners and tax analysis and reporting for non-active partners
  • Produce tax reports for partners
  • Enforce internal controls and comply with policies and procedures
  • Collaborate across the Finance Department to increase efficiency in financial information flows that cross departmental lines and ensure robust controls are in place
  • Ad hoc projects as needed

 

Qualifications
 
  • 5+ years of tax accounting experience in public accounting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or EA is preferred
  • Partnership experience is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work independently, effectively and accurately under tight deadlines
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong planning and organization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
