The Human Resources Business Partner promotes employee recruiting, retention, and development, and provides leadership and consultation on people-related matters throughout the Company. The HR Business Partner will have great passion to maintain the culture which includes honesty, integrity, compassion, and excellence. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Business Partner will assess and anticipates HR-related needs and partner to devise value added service to management and employees to advance the business objectives of the organization. The HR Business Partner will provide support on people-related matters, manage all benefits administration and compensation administration, support the recruiting team, while helping to provide direction to the other members of the HR team. Primary responsibilities will include employee relations, benefits, compensation and payroll and general Human Resources duties. Employee Relations: Provide performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions). Maintain and communicate appropriate documentation for employee related matters such as STD, FMLA, LTD, and reasonable accommodation requests. Serve as a sounding board and advisor to employees as needed. Maintain up to date knowledge of legal requirements related to employee relations and performance management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance. Benefits: Assist employees with claims questions and problems. Act as an intermediary between the employee and insurance company when general or claims problems arise that the employee cannot handle, and ensure that the employees? needs and concerns are known and adequately addressed. Manage the annual open enrollment process. Serve as HR?s primary contact for employee 401(k) assistance, and interface with the financial planner, and investment house as necessary. Compensation Payroll: Generate annual salary budgets and approve merit increases. Perform periodic review of the salary structure for all positions through credible sources. Research compensation trends and contribute to recommendations for merit ranges. Human Resources: Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with Director of HR to develop HR solutions, programs and policies. Maintain and report on headcount statistics on a monthly basis (HR Report), and ensure Vision properly reflects titles and capture effective dates. Prepare newsletter submission for HR related topics. Ensure confidentiality of all employee files. Perform other duties as required. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communication, or related field. Minimum of 5-7 years working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including benefits administration, compensation practices, payroll processing, employee relations, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws. PHR/SPHR certification. Experience with California employment law preferred. Excellent communication, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills. Excellent software skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated strong organization and prioritization skills, and problem solving skills. Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct. Ability to self-direct and motivate with minimal instruction. Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels.
