One of Collabera's top tier clients - Nation's Leading Financial Institution is looking for Penetration Tester. Our Client is also the one of the world's largest wealth management corporation and a major player in the investment banking market.

Duration:                                             4 months Contract to Hire


Job Description:

  • The Penetration Tester will join a team of security professionals focused on enabling line of business initiatives through penetration testing of systems, products, and technologies.
  • The Penetration Tester will work closely with the information security officers’ teams to provide guidance through testing, consultation, training, threat modeling, and testing. Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform penetration testing in the following domains:
    • Web/API services
    • Mobile applications
    • Cloud technologies
    • Full stack penetration testing
  • Help refine testing capabilities, methodologies, tools, etc.
  • Proactively identify emerging risks, test for them, influence build or configuration standards to prevent future abuse, etc.
  • Identify emerging vulnerabilities, risks, and threats during design iterations and provide appropriate countermeasures and backlog security stories
  • Test new features and builds outside of testing cycles
  • Prevent security issues in production
  • Monitor developments within the offensive security industry to ensure internal policies, procedures, tools, and training reflect current trends and methods
  • Mentor testing team members in domain of expertise
  • Build custom tools, scripts, libraries, and platforms as needed
  • Collaborate with other security teams in the evaluation, development, implementation, communication, operation, monitoring and maintenance of security policies and procedures to promote a secure and innovative environment
  • Deliver relevant penetration testing security training to internal associates
  • Use common tools such as Burp Suite, Kali Linux, nmap, Docker, etc.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s degree, military experience, or sufficient work history (3 years)
  • At least 2 years of experience penetration testing experience
  • Familiarity with Agile processes
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience testing the OWASP Top 10 and other common security issues
  • Understanding of networking protocols & technology including TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 years’ experience penetration testing with focus on domain of expertise
  • 2 years’ experience with Python or similar scripting language
  • Any/all of the following certifications: GPEN, OSCP, OSCE and domain specific certifications
  • Familiarity with cloud resource usage and creation (e.g., creating AMIs, understanding security groups)
