VP/ Director of IT

The primary responsibilities of the IT Director are to ensure the Bank’s computer and telecommunications equipment, networks and systems are operating in an
efficient and secure manner, identifying and utilizing the services of appropriate vendors within the requirements of the Bank’s policies, regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This position researches, reviews, plans, organizes, coordinates, monitors and controls all software and hardware
brought into the Bank's network and manages the vendor relationships required by the system architecture. The IT Director provides functional user training
to and collaborates with all Business Units and levels of Bank employees and chairs the Bank’s Technology Committee. 

Essential Job Functions  

  • Maintain a strong knowledge of current technologies and serve as the Bank’s subject matter expert, providing guidance and recommendations for network and system enhancements, upgrades and technology solutions 
  • Monitor and maintain network and system security and integrity with goal to avoid security breaches and maintain 99% up time during standard business hours  
  • Monitor network utilization to ensure proper scaling of computing and storage capacity to avoid system latency 
  • Supervise daily end user desktop and laptop support 
  • Administer IT vendor relationships including Telcomm, Security, Network, Software and Cloud based providers 
  • Review and accept vendor SSAE 16, SOX I and SOX II audit reports 
  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for implementation of appropriate information technologies 
  • Coordinate the quarterly meetings of and chair the Bank’s standing Technology Committee 
  • Oversee and complete technology projects by coordinating resources and timetables with Business Unit departments/users 
  • Conduct system and network reviews, support and coordinate all internal / external IT audits, revues and regulatory examinations 
  • Oversee system and data back-up procedures to ensure continuation of operations, information security and controls consistent with Bank policies 
  • Manage and oversee technology disaster recovery plans, testing and operations 
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Bank policies and procedures to support all areas and levels of technology 
  • Provide ongoing and consistent training to all levels of Bank employees in network efficiency, desktop utilization and information security   
  • Actively monitor Bank employee adherence to the Bank’s IT policies and regulatory compliance 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science preferred  

Minimum educational requirement, High School diploma, supported by technical course work in network administration and security  

Minimum 10 years’ experience in technology management, with increasing levels of responsibility and authority 

Experience in Microsoft operating and application software required 

Experience in Citrix environment preferred 

Experience in FIS Horizon core operating system a definite plus

Essential Functions:

Ability to sit, stand, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
Must be able to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer
components
Lifting and transporting heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers
and peripherals
Ability to converse and exchange information with customers and all levels of
staff within the organization
Ability to observe, perceive, and identify data
Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile, and/or bus
