In this role, it will be critical for you to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. You will succeed in this position if you can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. How you will make an impact
- Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations
- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
- Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed
- Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation
- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
- Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis
- Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month
- Perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
- Experience with Budget Processes
- Practical knowledge of Weekly Account Payable
- General familiarity with Payable Invoices
- Proficiency in Fiscal Management
- Well-founded grasp of budget forecasting
- Earlier work involving Aged Receivables
- Proven knowledge of budget management
- Fiscal Management experience desired
- Annual Operating Budget experience preferred
- Previous experience working with Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Wide ranging experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Good understanding of Aged Receivables
- Knowledge of Fiscal Operation
- Quality experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
- Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
- CPA/MBA preferred
